Story
Hide and SleekThe loincloth was a milestone invention for mankind, marking our ability to build tools and work with leather. Over the years, we’ve improved at both. Which is good, because it was starting to get a bit drafty.
In celebration of our cave-dwelling ancestors, the Stacked Leather Dagger Making Kit has all the components he’ll need to construct a finely-honed, modern day spear, complete with a fine leather grip.
Send his knife making game back to the Stone Age with the Stacked Leather Dagger Making Kit. It’s a blast from the past, with the style and durability of the future.
The Finer Points
- The blade is composed of quality AUS-8 stainless steel, and clocks in at around a 58-59 HRC on the Rockwell Hardness Scale. For comparison, that’s similar in strength to The Rock’s jawline.
- We’ve written a detailed instruction booklet that’ll guide him through the knife-building process, accurately and safely. Because holding a knife’s easier when you still have all your fingers.
- Also included are all the materials and instructions he’ll need to handily hand-sculpt his own handsome leather sheath.

Opps
So I also over tightened the pommel and stripped it. I also followed the directions covering the blade instead of doing it like I normally do. 6 stitches later. All in I love the kit. I have made 4 different knives. This one is my favorite. My wife just bought me the lock blade to work on.

They don’t fix their wrong
I order the stacked knife with sheath as a gift. They sent the wrong sheath and after contacting them numerous times and several months of being told they’re looking into it, I'm chalking it up to my loss. I won’t order anything else from this company. Their customer service sucks!

Don't over-tighten the pommel
I'd love to leave a great review, but I can't as my knife is now garbage. I over-tightened the pommel and snapped the threads off the tang. Treat it gently I guess is my suggestion.

I’ll buy another one
The first step was to put the guard on the tang but it didn’t even com close to fitting. Luckily I have a belt sander and took some metal off. After that it was a smooth breeze, goin to buy some beeswax today. I intend on purchasing more.
