Booming Sound from an Ammo Can
Received this kit from coworkers while recovering from a motorcycle collision. It was easy to set up and assemble. Took me 3-1/2 to 4 hours from start to finish. Charged the batteries all night before running the amps on battery power. Music played from line-in and Bluetooth connections. Only discrepancy was the charging and Bluetooth leds were switched on the connection diagram. Sound quality is great!

Good service, fun gift
My wife gave this to me as a Christmas gift but I didn't have time to put it together until a few months later. I ran into the same problem as others with the Bluetooth and Charging LEDs being reversed from the diagram, but it was easy to fix and it would seem like it would be easy for the manufacturer to include a card with the correction in future orders. Then again, just figuring that out was kind of fun. The charging LED just stays on but the batteries charge ok. An improvement would be to put a grill over the speakers to protect them but I will probably figure something out for that. I had a problem with the Bluetooth connecting and the company promptly replaced the part, which was great. Overall it was a fun, thoughtful, and useful gift that has made some of my buddies envious.

Fun build. Some problems
The build is fun. The drilling, the amateur electronics, the independent design.
Unfortunately there are a few problems. The LED indicators for the Bluetooth and Charging indicator are reversed in the instructions. So if you want the blue light to be Bluetooth don't look at the instructions, turn the board over and plug it into the port that says "BT." The board maker, Sure, also got it wrong, so whatever. But I also have been troubleshooting why my batteries won't charge and I can't come up with anything. The charging LED never blinks. The system dies as soon as I unplug it. The problem is likely in the JAB2 board. The soldering is pretty sloppy and there is at least one youtube video solving another weird feedback glitch by removing an auxiliary input wire.

My husband works in electrical engineering and had zero problems putting this together. However, he's had no luck getting the batteries to charge. He has to keep it plugged in all the time. It does sound great and has a fair Bluetooth connection, so it's still a nice gift for the music/tinkerer in your life.

NEEDS MORE INSTRUCTIONS
Got this as a gift from my best friend, and it’s a great gift and cool concept; however, it needs further instructions! There are BASIC details about how to put this thing together, but I’ve never put together many electronic items and this one was quite a challenge. I’m sure I’m not the only one, but additional details would help greatly.
